I am a Chartered Health Psychologist in the United Kingdom and a registered Clinical Psychologist in private practice in Cape Town, South Africa. I completed a Doctoral Degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy through Rhodes University, Grahamstown, South Africa. Eating disorders is one area of specialty which I have worked with successfully since 1991. Other areas of interest include psychoanalytic psychotherapy for couples, individuals, adults and adolescents. I was the consulting psychologist for the Western Cape Cardiac Rehabilitation Programme for many years and supervised Masters Psychology students completing their internship on the programme. I have lectured for various institutes, such as the eta, the University of Cape Town, the Sports Science Institute, The South African Insitutue of Psychotherapy as well as numerous public lectures.
